1. Our Commitment
At Vestine Leila Network (VLN), we are committed to fostering a culture of integrity, respect, and empowerment. Our Code of Ethics sets the standard for how we work with participants, mentors, partners, and each other.
2. Respect for All Individuals
We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. We reject all forms of discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on race, gender, age, ability, background, or belief.
3. Honesty and Integrity
We uphold honesty in our communication, programs, and partnerships. Misrepresentation, deception, or exploitation of any kind is strictly prohibited.
4. Accountability
We take responsibility for our actions and their impact. All VLN team members and participants are expected to act in ways that uphold our mission and values, even when no one is watching.
5. Confidentiality
Personal and sensitive information shared within programs or mentorship sessions is treated with strict confidentiality. We do not disclose private details without clear and informed consent.
6. Safe & Supportive Environment
VLN is a space for learning, growth, and expression. We are committed to creating safe environments where all youth and mentors can share openly without fear of judgment or harm.
7. Mentorship Boundaries
Mentors must maintain professional and ethical boundaries at all times. Relationships should be built on trust, purpose, and clear roles, avoiding any behavior that could compromise the dignity or well-being of the mentee.
8. Reporting Misconduct
Any concerns or violations of this code should be reported promptly to VLN leadership. We treat all reports seriously and handle them with sensitivity and fairness.
9. Upholding the Mission
All actions and decisions made under VLN must align with our mission to empower youth, promote positive change, and build a more just and inclusive world.
